Family home in Melle

Architecture

Germany - expected completion 2024

In a typical 1950s neighbourhood the main volume references the stylised shape of the surrounding houses. It rests on a bright base that extends into the garage and a larger living room of modern day standards on the sides. A wooden facade and integrated solar panels complete a contemporary exterior.

The interior is designed for two+ generations, and set up to transform into two fully separate apartment units once the children live on their own.
